Falling into Fall

Took some time to unwind in the best way:

cappuccinos & magazines!

Thought I'd share InStyle's August 2013 insight as I rummage through my closet to compound what I've bought so far. It feels, and sounds, so much better now that shopping is 'therapeutic' instead of 'an addiction' ;)

Vogue UK Medals

I'm a bit late on the news but...
this golden editorial, very Olympics-oriented I feel,
is pure,
well,
gold.

p.s. all the dresses are magnifique, but Naomi's is out-of-this-world!

Ooooh how I wish I had this issue!

Hauled from the Oak Park

I took the chance to go shopping with my ever so lovely sister...

IN KANSAS CITY!

KC is a huge area for good eats, fun shopping, and all over travel; there's a lot to see!
It's a bit sad that where I live is a small city/big town, but this trip was massive in helping me pick up pieces of clothing I've been crrrraaaving for foreeeever i.e. something lacy...

Baseball Tee: Alternative Earth via Plato's Closet//Red Shorts: Abercrombie&Fitch//White V-Lace Dress: Monteau via TJ Maxx//Blue Scarf: Christopher & Banks//Bra: Victoria's Secret//Sweater and Peter Pan Collar Dress: XXI//Foldable Flats: BCBGeneration

Completely satisfied and more than excited to wear them all!
'Cept the sweater. Looking at it makes me sweat... BUT IT'S SO PERFECT.

Cheers to ever expanding wardrobes!

And we're back in 3, 2...

1!

Aaaaahh~ Dorothy said it best, there's no place like home!

There's also nothing like traveling, I love everything about it:

packing
airports&planes
taxis
cafés/restaurant hopping
busy streets
extended family
big, industrial cities
new places
rural, farming areas
new people
etc.

I've yet to finish organizing all of my travel photos, but know that I will definitely create a series of posts for it.

Firstly, we hit Hong Kong and may I just say, Hong Kong people have amazing style. I regret not snapping everyones' outfits, they were so good.

High-end designer stores, cheap flea market finds, and adorable school uniforms; what more could I have wanted?

There's much, much more to come!

Sat-all-day

So the post title's not entirely true, I stood for a good two-hours while volunteering and hunted around the mall to find exactly what I wanted to gift my mum, but..

I've pretty much sat all day Saturday.

I'm CONVINCED that this 54¢ bracelet's handmade w/ copper, if you held it you would too! And I managed to catch a glimpse of the most beautiful, French-style silver-plated candelabra that a friend bought; 'twas a thrift score day!

Planning on running later so Olive Garden won't kill me.
But for now.. Snapple Peach Tea and mini pizza style crackers fo' snack; nomnom.

Lace Mania

Just last week I suffered through Ruffles Mania, and I have almost fully recovered (total lie)when BAM.
Lace hits me again.

Lace has ALWAYS been an immense inspiration and love for me, especially since I'm Detail's biggest advocate.

Soo Lace and I are pretty much soul-mates.

Take a gander at this wonderfully intricate material that not only shall grace my wedding dress, in the faaarrr future, but is a mustmustmust/needneedneed!

(And as usual, Read More--'cuz there are always just too many pictures)

*Also, fabu DIY Lace Shorts here*
