Soup and Scarf Weather

I made a cabbage and won-ton soup using miso paste for the soup base. It was tasty with black pepper!

Twas 49º...

... and it's back to school for me! A birthday, Christmas, New Years, and End of the World all passed; what a remarkable time.

It's all made the better by this ridikkulus, absolute gem of a find:
A massive, hand-knit Gryffindor scarf.

No one knows how much I have been scouring the web and stores for an extremely large, knit scarf.
Almost everyone knows of my dying love for Harry Potter. Honestly, this sort of thrift find is what keeps my hope in the world alive! Haha!

$.99

You should see the imprint of my jaw that dropped on Goodwill's floor.

'Twas 51º...

... and cold.

Yesterday I spent the whole day with my bones shivering; hiking across the tall grass prairie with my biology crew aka stopping-every-five-feet-to-note-a-plant/bird/fungi/ecosystem.

And all the above was done in blistering wind<41ºF.

So, that makes me--a bit--more grateful for today's weather.

Wore a simple, monochromatic outfit today with my NEW ABSOLUTELY FAVORITIST PAIR OF JEANS EVERR. Bought them at a H&M in China where I had lost a bit of weight, came back to the U.S. and didn't fit them, got back in shape, and BAM; perfect fit.

I couldn't be happier! Black skinnies are so versatile.
The hat is a love/hate object that my mom hates but I love. It's a men's hat, so a bit masculine yet just so (least, that's what I think).

Bitter

I cannot remember, for the life of me, the last time I was severely forced by the weather straight into winter gear.

I wish I was kitten.

There was no chance for me to even think about one long+one short piece outfits; heck no, the temperature literally dropped from 'fine' to 'FREEZE YOUR FINGERS OFF'.

All I can do now is dream of cuddles with thick blankets and an endless supply of Romance movies... and clothes. Duh.
