I went as the iconic HELLO KITTY this year for Halloween.

A Hiking I Did Go!

I trekked 10 miles of the beautiful Appalachia last weekend!

Fun Fact: The Appalachian Mts. are the oldest mt. range in North America! 

I wore layers to accomodate changing elevations and body temperatures.

I recommend wearing comfortable, broken-in sneakers.

Go out and enjoy Fall before Winter arrives!

'Twas 51º...

... and cold.

Yesterday I spent the whole day with my bones shivering; hiking across the tall grass prairie with my biology crew aka stopping-every-five-feet-to-note-a-plant/bird/fungi/ecosystem.

And all the above was done in blistering wind<41ºF.

So, that makes me--a bit--more grateful for today's weather. 

Wore a simple, monochromatic outfit today with my NEW ABSOLUTELY FAVORITIST PAIR OF JEANS EVERR. Bought them at a H&M in China where I had lost a bit of weight, came back to the U.S. and didn't fit them, got back in shape, and BAM; perfect fit.

I couldn't be happier! Black skinnies are so versatile.

The hat is a love/hate object that my mom hates but I love. It's a men's hat, so a bit masculine yet just so (least, that's what I think).

Major love and thanks to my wunderful sister and all her posting! I'm drowning in school-work and desperately trying to finish all the make-up work...

Pretty much screwed at this point ONWARD I MUST GO.

Bow-tiful!

'Twas 80º...

... and 'lo, the sunshine has returned!

I felt like it'd be quite warm today, so I didn't want to layer up; thank goodness for shirt-dresses. 

Classy and easy.

I lightly accessorized, since I was going simple, and of course had to use metallics. This particular shirt dress is black, for SURE, but it turned out blue in some pictures... Wish I had the fancy scientific answer as to why here but I'm honestly just too tired from school to do any extra work.

Picked up this fantastic necklace at Salvation Army for $7. Reminds me very much of Harry Potter!
