November Empties

Products I used up during the month of November:

I love Simple cleansing wipes. This one was gentle and felt nice!

I used up a black pen and a sample size of Nivea body wash.

I used a sample of Garnier Fructis. The cold air sucks the hydration out of my hair, and this set of shampoo and conditioner "fixed" my hair.

A black felt pen and a body cream.

This is old from Victoria's Secret. I think they discontinued this product…

Shorts & Dooney

Before the snow hits (which it surely will this year.. everyone bundle up!) I managed to squeeze in a few more days of being in shorts. Now call me ridiculous but nothing's more comfortable!

Other than going pants-less but that's besides the point.

Also scored a lovely vintage Dooney&Bourke off eBay. Internet shopping sucks me in again! Though I was over the moon hoping it was a white bag like its pictures, it turned out very cream.. Contacted the seller and managed to get some money back. Whew.

Be careful online, ladies and gentlemen!

Campus Update

Typically everyone's outfits adjust for the weather, but I feel as if my style changes too.
I don't know what it means but for now I'm content with my cozy&comfy.

One great thing about being on campus is the availability of free stuff. Gonna go ahead and declare it now, I LOVE FREE. The implication that 'nothing in life is free' usually pops up after my wallet and I's victory dance.

Also I be-leaf I have become an internet shopper. One of those online deal seekers, the eBay&Amazon scryers. I cannot help it that what I need is online, cheap, and has free shipping!

SERIOUSLY WHAT IS IT WITH THE FREE STUFF* I might as well be a hoarder!

*Samsung held a weeklong event at my school that involved designing our own t-shirt! Of course I drew a quote by mastermind Tolkien.

Mad for Plaid

I cannot recall the last time I was alone and allowed to do anything I wanted. And I mean absolutely anything! This weekend is just that and should be prescribed to all at least once a week.

Thanksgiving is upon us and the cold weather has hit. I'm compiling a few of my favorite winter coats (needing a solid one for the next years), and still searching for the perfect leather boot.

What's strange to me about the fashion industry is the amount of available items, but not the single one I want. Am I making any sense? Perhaps this is what pushes young designers, to create what the industry is missing. For me, the perfect dark brown, chocolate flat-heel riding boot is very much missing...

Either way, at least I found my plaid for autumn! Diggin' the lower hem for skirts this season.

Never Pay Retail!

Previously I did a post on my spending habits.

Here is how NOT to pay retail ever again!

1. SHOP ONLINE

Sign up for emails, or search online for promo codes. You can also sign-up for sites, like Ebates, that rebates you a percentage of what you pay at online retailers.

2. WAIT

Unless you've encountered a natural disaster, or major theft you probably have enough clothing and accessories. Clothes and accessories usually go on sale 4-6 weeks after it's introduced to the store. So wait before you buy!

3. SIGN-UP

Sometimes I'll even sign up for the company's credit card to get extra % off of my purchase, then cancel the card later! It takes more work, but I save more. You can also sign-up for the store's emails to get more promo codes to use online or in-stores.

4. BUY OUT OF SEASON

Basics, like white tees, leggings and tights can be bought cheaply at the end of every season. So stock up during sales!

5. THRIFT

Thrifting is buying secondhand. As long as you wash or disinfect what you purchase, you shouldn't be afraid to thrift. You can purchase from vintage stores, donation stores (Salvation Army, Goodwill, Savers), or consignment stores (Plato's Closet, Buffalo Exchange, Crossroads Trading Co.).

6. CONSIGN

Consigning is selling your old clothes and accessories. Most stores give cash or store credit. So sell your old clothes for cash, or use the store credit at the secondhand store to not pay retail!

Being frugal, thrifty, and resourceful is positive, not  negative. There's no need to be in debt for fashion!

Weather Official!

Sure the official start of autumn has already passed, but I prefer to dress according to weather and today was the perfect fall day!

Chilly air, peeks of sunshine, and a very cool breeze.

I'm so pumped! Of course I've already transitioned; taken out the fall/winter bag and gave myself a mani.

Color me obsessed with the deep burgundy&rose glitter!
(also experiencing a major ear-cuff affair.. aren't you?!)

To get the more pink-bronze metallic, I used a base coat of the burgundy so it would show more rose gold colored.
