Family Vacay Day 3: ZNP's Narrows

For our first full day at Zion National Park (ZNP), we rented electric bikes and hiked The Narrows!

We rented e-bikes from Zion Peddler.  We chose the Model Y types, because it came with baskets! Cost was $95/person for a full day. The rental included a parking spot, helmets, and bike locks.

We had a National Parks Pass aka America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass, which allowed our entire party of 5 to enter on foot without extra charges.

Jump below for details on our Narrows hike!

The Narrows is named because it's the narrowest section of Zion Canyon. It's a very popular hike because you're wading through the Virgin River. Without proper equipment, this hike can be dangerous. There are companies that rent shoes, walking sticks, coveralls, etc. But in true Asian explorer fashion, we decided to use our own supplies!

We wore water shoes or old shoes we didn't mind getting wet and dirty. I chose Chaco sandals! I also wore a bathing suit underneath my rash-guard and boardshorts.

We found free walking sticks at the start of the Narrows hike left behind by previous travelers.

I dubbed thee "Ribeye Rock" and yes I was hungry.

We only hiked 1/2 of The Narrows because we were tired and hungry, and the scenery looked the same after awhile, but it was exhilarating, so I highly recommend this excursion!
